Anyone got a vision blind fitted in a bay window

I've just had my kitchen window measured for a vision blind or can be called day & night blind. I was hoping through time to get them for all my windows. However I've been told they are not successful in bay windows as the mechanism at top of each blind measures 3.5 inches deep, then the material starts a further inch in, so glass would be showing down all the sides.
Has anyone got a vision blind fitted in their bay window, I was just wondering if other companies used thinner mechanisms.

We have a vision blind in a normal window from blinds2go.

The mechanism is a good couple of inches deep!

More or less resigned myself to the fact a vision blind is a no go for my bay window. Just wondering if the next best thing would be sheer roller blinds in my bay window. Has anyone got them. I want something that allows decent light in but able to look out and gives a degree of privacy.

Are you wedded to blinds? Net curtains are quite good for being able to see out without people being able to peer in. They let in a lot of light too.

Had net curtains all my married life, 42 yrs to be precise. My daughter has the vision blinds and find them very good, easy to operate and filter light, they can be lifted slightly through the day. We've had a lot of work done recently and thought they would give a more modern look than the nets.
