Self assurance

Can anybody out there assist me. I found out i have this "self assurance" don`t ask me what its have no idea. Seemly i took it out in 2002 through a financial adviser, premiums are £77.55 don`t ask me what they were when i started.

Benefit details states
Death or earlier Critical illness benefit £****** Cover basis level
Disability income benefit (sickness, accident and disability £******* Increasing

House owner, I was single at the time, was going through a difficult period in my life, don`t know if these make any difference question is have i been miss sold other wise PPI. any assistance or advise would be most welcome.

    It is life assurance with a critical illness cover.

    It pays out a lump sum on death or diagnosis of a range of specified critical illnesses.

    Self Assurance was the name for protection plans via Scottish Provident, now amalgamated within the Royal London brand.

    It appears you have both a lump sum life or earlier critical illness benefit policy and an income protection plan which will provide you with an increasing income (normally linked to inflation) in the event of being unable to work due to incapacity.

    I'd be highly surprised if you had been missold these and they certainly don't fall into the same bracket as PPI
