Wireless mouse

Hi all

I'm looking for recommendations for a wireless mouse (preferably with a docking station to save messing around with batteries).

I'm not looking for something all-singing-all-dancing but a couple of programmable buttons would be nice.

Thanks in advance.

I'll just comment that I've been using wireless mice for a very long time now and an alkaline battery will last for ages even if you don't switch off.

As to recommendations - mice are very personal and varied so I'd suggest that you try a few different ones if you can. For branded probably Logitech are the best known and I'm using an M325 right now but it is small and I doubt to everyones taste. I used to use it with a laptop so small was good and I just got used to it.

Those with a mini wireless dongle are less of a faff than bluetooth imo but it is something else to lose.

Thanks for that, I'll have a look at the Logitech ones.
The only reason for wanting a rechargeable mouse is so I don't to try and remember either batteries or to turn it off at night.

I did see a couple on Amazon, but I'd never heard of them.
One of them is this one:-

    This is another:-

As I said the batteries in mine last ages. I buy 6 packs of alkalines from the pound shop these days and don't bother with rechargebles for anything other than stuff that comes with Li-ion batteries anyway..

I've been using a Microsoft Sculpt comfort mouse with my laptop for a while. I've just bought a second for my desktop.

It isn't rechargeable but, as already said, batteries last ages.

The general consensus here seems to be don't bother with a charging dock and just use normal batteries.

To be honest, I was only getting one to to use with a dock (and rechargeable batteries or battery pack) due to laziness and poor memory.

Do you turn your mouse off at night or not bother?

    Thanks for that.
    Rethink on the mouse required.

Looks like a trip to PC World (only to have a play with the mice, not to buy!!) this weekend.

The best wireless mouse I had was a Logitech one with a docking station. I got fed up of changing batteries, so the docking station was a "must" for me, and it worked really well.
