Silly question... how do I repost/regram and instagram picture

I have been missing instagram competitions out because I can't work it out.. I just can't see an option to share. I use instagram but have only posted pics up. Thanks in advance

depends what smartphone your using. Mine is a HTC and I have to press on the ON/Off button at the same time and the sound button upwards. then in "Gallery" there is a share option.2018 wins-12wins0

On my iPad I have to take a screenshot then post that, but I'm never sure if I'm doing it right.

also having similar " I have not a clue what I am doing on Instagram" had it for a while but still can't regram but then even on my laptop I can not screen shot properly lol0

I HATE the word regram... because it's not a thing.
It's like they've went 'twitter has retweet, facebook has share, regram has to work doesn't it?' No - it's not a thing. There's no button. It's pointless. Screenshot the photo and post with a hashtag, is pointless. Half the time, it won't generate any clicks as people don't even know where the photo came from.
Sorry, anti-Insta rant.
For those that can't screenshot on a laptop - Go to your start menu on your windows (Windows 10, 8, 7) and type 'snipping'. Open up the snipping tool and use that (hit new, and the screen goes white, click and drag a box for what you want to grab 'snip'). Save as an image then use how you need.
Much better than screenshotting.0 -

This is a common problem, I posted about it a little while ago to try and help those out - I also include the information on my posts when I post an Instagram competition that needs a regram. It is super easy.
