Faulty Engagement Ring - repair needed 3 times! Advice please

Hi all, I'm just looking for some advice on my engagement ring. My hubby brought my engagement ring in July 15. In April 16 I slightly caught the ring on a door handle and it bent completely out of shape. I was a bit shocked at how easily it had bent and it appeared the crossover at the top of the ring was particularly weak. I immediately took it into the store and they advised they could return it back to shape and bent it back into position. In Sept 16 I then again very lightly caught it and this time the stone setting completely snapped. I took it back into the store and they told me they would send it back to the manufacturer but they weren't sure what they could do as it was 'customer damage' (bearing in mind we're talking about gently knocking it here, I wasn't boxing with it on!). I then get a call to say the manufacturer has gone into liquidation but they have found one in another store, one size smaller. They offer to swap it as a 'goodwill gesture' if it fits. I go back to the shop again and try it on along with a couple of others. I chose my wedding band from another shop which perfectly matched my engagement ring and none of the others matched like my original ring. I then accepted the slightly smaller ring as it fit ok. In Nov 16 a stone fell out of the replacement ring which I took back again and they replaced it. I have today just lost ANOTHER stone from this ring and will need to take it back again. I am convinced that there is something faulty with this particular ring (they no longer sell it) and as much as I love it I can't keep taking it back every few months.
Does anyone know what my rights are now?
Hubby paid £1200 in the sale but it's valued at £1600
My wedding band doesn't match any of the rings they currently sell.

I'd be grateful for any advice!

As the replacement ring was a "goodwill gesture" following you causing damage to the original ring, your rights may be slim. However this does not stop you asking the shop very politely if they would consider a further exchange. But the shop may think that you have also accidentally damaged this ring.

Because of the very high mark-up by jewellers, I am very surprised that a ring bought at a sale price of £1200, could now be worth £1600.
