Car accident not my fault, should I go third party insurance or credit hire?

Hi,
My car got hit in a car park when I was away. The person who hit my car left a note to me and I called him when I was back. He admitted it is all his fault and he called his insurer RAC. I called my insurer admiral and they lead me to a company called auxillis. Auxilllis says they will arrange the repair and a contesey car for me. On the other hand Ageas(I guess they are dealing with the case for RAC) called me the second day says I should cancel my agreement with auxillis as they are signing a credit hire agreement with me and they will charge a higher than market rate for rental and repairing. I searched a bit online and I found some criticism about credit hire companies. I have no experience about this before and I want to hear your suggestions? Thanks!

Other persons insurance every time, quicker by far and much less hassle if liability is not disputed

I'd definitely go with the third party insurer.

Although liability isn't in dispute, the insurer could dispute the cost of the hire Auxillus are putting you in, especially if the insurer has offered you hire before you've taken that up with Auxillus.

Yes defo take up the offer from Ageas. They will bend over backwards to help you and no credit hire car. They will probably just rent you one direct.

No, they will provide a replacement car (if needed) FOC.

Apologies I worded my comment badly. Sorry for the confusion. Yes I meant that the insurer may use a rental company such as enterprise (or another similar company) to give you a car for the duration of repairs but the insurer will pay th rental company direct.

We dealt with esure when we claimed off the third party and that's what they did for us.
