Ugh. I am SO ILL. Temperature and shivery. Just about to go and pick up Child 3 from preschool and see if I can persuade her into watching a Disney movie while Mummy collapses on the sofa and eats biscuits. Have managed a bit of work this morning (and my social media, yay!), and have a Skype meeting this evening when DH is home, but not sure I can face much in between. Urghhhhhhhhh.Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.

There's so much going about, try and rest.
Take care

Managed a bit of a sit down, and did another survey while I did. Fifty whole pennies for sitting down for 20 minutes.
Have also been contemplating a bank account switch - there always seems to be some incentive from one bank or another. I haven't looked at the best offers yet, but I wonder if it's worth the hassle. Do you have to spend hours and hours redoing all your DDs from the new bank account, I wonder? We don't have an overdraft or anything like that, so it would purely be a switch for the incentives.Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.

We both switched to Halifax last year and it was painless - the switching service deals with all the DDs etc - well worth the extra £100 we got each:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

I think most banks do all the DD switching for you. The only thing stopping me switching is the fact I'd need to pay off my overdraft in full and I'm not in a position to do that quite yet! ha
Sorry you're feeling poorly, I'm actually feeling really sniffly and have an itchy throat so no doubt I'm on the way to illness too. Two good things just happened.
1. Got my ear syringed and can hear again, for the first time in about 6 weeks. Everything is SO LOUD. Especially my children.
2. I just realised that I've budgeted for the whole of March without taking account of the child benefit that will come in next week (£192), so will be able to split that as I usually do between lots of 'envelopes', although will probably siphon a bit extra into the birthday fund rather than DH and my kitties, so it's a bit less tight at the end of the month. How pleasing. Nice to have forgotten to account for an income, rather than an expenditure!Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.

Awesome! How lovely to have an extra £192 to split as you want/ need! Enjoy allocating it.CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

we just switched DH bank account to TSB for £125
No hassle. 2 minutes to fill in application on line and they do it all, move all DD and contact old bank. Managed the whole process without having to speak to a person - even better
They switching guarantee promises certain things, such as if someone presents to your old bank they will re-direct to your new bank etc... If there is not another reason to stay, I would definitely do it.
On a separate note I saw you mentioned about yogurt. Have you tried Skyr - has the consistency and taste of Total but about 1/3rd of the price. someone on their diary put me on to it. It's lovely and we eat lots of yogurt0
