    They never tell customers anything.

Just found by chance when browsing through the channels on the cable box that they have a new Virgin 1 channel which is their version of Sky 1.

Except Sky One is actually good!

Rocky Balboa is also available in HD for 1p also. Cheers to OP
  • Has anyone else heard of Virgin doing their own Sports News Channel?
I might have to phone them up to see what they say now!

Crossy, Virgin heard about my proposed switch to BT when BT called them to take over my account. However, it did take me 3 evenings and nearly 5 hours on the phone to get through to BT in the first place. But the savinbgs at the end of the day are worth it!
  • I just phoned them as I was paying £18 for broadband and £11 for telephone line rental and then about £12 per month for calls (total monthly outlay of around £40).

I spoke to customer retentions and he asked if I wanted to go on the 2 for £20 deal (broadband and line rental) and sign up for talk unlimited for £7.95 per month. So £13 per month saving and we can use the phone as much as we like. This was no hassle at all the customer retentions chap was very helpful.

I would say don't waste five hours on the phone to BT - first phone up Virgin and see what they offer you.
  • I was on the 3 for £30 deal and when I looked at Sky, Virgin didn't seem that competative. I phoned Virgin and told them this and they imeadiately put me on the XL TV package. I then thought that, that was too easy and phoned back and said that I still thought that they were not competative and threatened to leave for Sky again and after 5 minutes of negotiation I ended up with 20mb Broadband, free evenings and weekends on the phone and the XL TV package for £41. I know this is £11 more than I was paying , but the true cost of this package should be £72.45. This package is more or less the same as the virgin VIP package without the movies and Sky Sports. Plus because I've got the XL TV package I get all the TV on demand for free and free setanta sports for the premeirship games!!
