Hi all
Seeking a bit of advice / guidance from the forum.
I own a 2007 mk6 Fiesta.
Yesterday, the alarm started to go off. Went outside and used the keyfob to turn it off. All good. Apart from the fact that it happened 10 times after which me needing to use the key fob to turn it off.
Anyway, when it finally stopped i noticed that the following had stopped working
Central Locking
Rear Wiper
Hazards
Indicator
Front screen heater
Interior Light
Also, the rear screen heater lights up when i put the key in and turn it on.
The car starts fine and runs as well as it did before apart from the above.
I disconnected the battery overnight to hopefully 'clear' the problem but reconnecting it hasnt changed anything.
Appreciate that i'm going to have to take it into a garage but before I do, just hoping someone can give me some pointers about what the problem can be.
thanks all

Have a look at the wiring where it goes into the drivers door, you will need to pull back the rubber sleeve. I wonder if the wires have broken and shorted blowing a fuse or two, common problem with Fords, you can buy wiring small section ready made to link back in.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. You may be better asking in one of the motoring forums like Honest John, or Ford Fiesta Owners Club. Google and see what pops up.0

Thats where the Ford experts are. But any dtc codes would help. When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nietzsche
Please note that at no point during this work was the kettle ever put out of commission and no chavs were harmed during the making of this post.0 -
Have you checked the fuses?
Other electrics not working could indicate a short circuit or something as simple as a blown fuse0 -
I would say the battery is about to die, modern cars can do very strange things when the battery starts to fail, because the various control units aren't getting the correct voltages.
On my old car I knew when the battery needed replacing because my entire dashboard would fail to work a few days in advance...........

A diagnostic machine will tell you the last alarm trigger.
Or even diy software like forscan with an elm326 cable0
