What is a realistic small bathroom renovation quote?

Hi

I have had one quote for my small bathroom being done up. Small bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower. The quote for labour only I received was £1200 and it was estimated as a four day job. I would pay for all materials on top of this.

Is this reasonable?

Thanks

Yes, sorry...will be tiled from top to bottom. Plus laying new floor tiles and fitting an extractor fan and new sink and toilet.

Sounds ok to me, last bathroom I did was 1300 for labour which included removing old goods.
Got the bath, WC, basin and vanity cheap from Victoria plumb but an expensive aqualisa shower over bath, plus vinyl flooring, and the whole lot cost just over £3k. Though hubby did the tiling.

So the shower isn't being replaced? Whereabouts are you?

Shower enclosure is being taken off and put back on so as to put a new shower tray in. Same actual shower unit to be used.

    Am in Ilford.

It sounds cheap to me for the South East, but then perhaps you have found a reasonable bathroom fitter.

How did you find them? Was it through personal recommendation?

I would be careful. The reviews on sites like that mean nothing. He might be great but then he might be a rogue, you have no way of knowing.
