Hi
Im looking for a decent 55" 4K Tv for under £800.
I heard the Sony has built in Android which sounds good but also heard they are buggy.
Any recommendations?
Thanks

Netflix, Amazon Prime etc
Im on Virgin 50mbps
Im like the idea of using Kodi on the Sony TVs but not sure if its better getting another cheaper brand and buying an Android box.0 -
If you could stretch to another £200 I'd go for the Samsung UE55KS7000 else the cheaper UE55KU6400.0

I have the Sony Android and so does my neighbour, first class product.
Its like having a laptop some people know how to use them, most dont, read all the info u can find.
Kodi works great lots of movies and tv products, live football can be problems.
remember this is a new way of watching tv,remember when u first got a video player and couldnt set timer, i offered to set my friends he said know he could do it laughed at blinking light every time i went to his house.
So down to Richer Sounds for 6 year warranty and a new Sonty tv.0 -
Can anyone confirm the Netflix 4k video file size?
So many numbers floating out there. Anything from 7GB per hour to 40 GB per hour??Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Yeah save your money and buy a 1080p one. At 55 inches unless you're going to be sat closer than 5ft away you won't get the benefit of 4K.
For another £200 you can get a LG 55EC930V OLED which is 1080p but will have a picture that will blow away any 55" 4K LED TV. Does Netflix, Amazon etc and has built in Freeview HD and Freesat HD receivers. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Funny how for last 35 years £800 has been the price point for an expensive telly.
Yet I agree with others, I am not convinced of the benefit and besides, these so called smart TV's are worse than browsers at spying on you and much harder to stop.
All those 3D TV buyers must be cursing (I heard on radio they are dumping the technology) go figure!
I make do with a basic technology, I upgrade my TV for free as an when they become available on Freecycle.
Also from my local tip if faulty. Is usually the power module or the Tuner, I do not tneed tuner as I do not watch live tv, if it is the power module I get one from eBay for under £20.Please be nice to all MoneySavers.
