Octagon Insurance website disappeared

My car insurance is with Octagon. The website is showing a 123-Reg holding page. http://www.octagoninsurance.com

I'm guessing it's something to do with this:

Gibraltar-based insurer Octagon has changed its status from insurer to MGA following the decision for the UK to exit the European Union.

On its website customers are informed: "Customers with a policy that started on or before 31st December 2016 can continue to use this website as usual.

"Customers with a policy that renewed on or after 1st January 2017 - the details on this website will not be relevant to your policy, please see your renewal pack for further information."

Anyone had a renewal pack through recently? Are they still renewing policies? They have always been significantly less expensive than other insurers for us, so this is not good news.

I will hazard a guess that their IT guy and some others don't have jobs any more and / or no one renewed their domain.

Octagoninsurance.co.uk still loads but didn't look further to see if it is any use / one and the same.

I don't know about any of the technicalities I'm afraid but I recently had a renewal pack, the under writers had changed and my renewal price was 3 times the amount of my original policy for no reason. I accessed the website a few days ago but the online chat (the way I had previously managed my policy) has vanished. Ive gone elsewhere for a much better deal.

Thanks for the helpful replies. The website is back now, but it looks as though we won't be able to renew.
