Our 14 year old cat has gone missing - it is unlike him - he loves his home life and he loves FOOD !!
He has been like a ravenous monster recently - eating everything and wanting more within a few minutes
It was 10am today -when we had a new bed delivery - he was out of the cat flap like a shot - not seen since .. it is cold out there as well.....
We have called and called him - no sign !
I am seriously concerned.

OK only a few hours but I understand. A few questions
Could he have got in the back of the delivery van?
Is he in a garage or shed and been locked in?
Is he hiding indoors? Before we discovered where one of ours went we used to worry he was out all night. Then we discovered he'd gone into a cupboard and snuggled down right at the back so withput a light he couldn't be seen.
Is he chipped?
Could he be hunting in fields at the back of your house?
Instead of calling can you shake a box of his favourite dried food/ treats
Next thing is to put the word out he's missing. Find a photo, make posters put an alert on local facebook/ contact local vets etc.
You do know he's quite likely to stroll in as if to say 'what's all the fuss about, where's my dinner'.0 -
Awww, hopefully he hasn't jumped in the back of the bed wagon!
Chances are, he was spooked by the strange folk and the unusual activity, and has legged it somewhere 'safe.'
My money is on him being back by nightfall (or just after.)
Go for a walk about around your neighbourhood (while it's light,) for half an hour or so, calling his name, in case he has wandered off a bit too far and can't find his way back.
Also - maybe ring the delivery company/bed company... But I think you'd have heard by now if the men had found a kitty in their van.
Good luck.
Keep us posted though. People will advise you on what to do if he isn't back by say, this time tomorrow.cooeeeeeeeee :j :wave:0 -
hope he comes back soon0

I would be extremely surprised if he has got in to the bed van - he is a scaredy cat and is scared of his own shadow at the best of times - he is scared of new places, people and sounds - so no way could he have had the courage to get in to the van
He is definately not in the house
We live in a housing estate on the edge of a town - so no countryside within a mile or so....and as for sheds/garages - there are many - all over the place - so where do we start ?
I agree that he has probably (hopefully) gone walkabout and may have fallen asleep somewhere - hopefully (as you say) he will be back at dark0 -

Woo hoo! High five. That's great news!
Bet the little cutie is well hungry and cold!
As I said, he probably got spooked by the kerfuffle and the strangers, wandered off, and then got a bit lost for a few hours.
Glad he is back. Give him a cuddle from me!cooeeeeeeeee :j :wave:0 -
I am so relieved to read this good news! xx0
