"licence evidence provided does not match the driver record" why is this coming up?

the above message is appearing while trying to complete my change of address on my provisional licence. it is very frustrating. i have a theory test on tuesday, but forgot i have my old house address on the licence, so unsure if they will allow me to take the test.

i have entered all the details required correctly, so i am unsure why this message keeps appearing. what can i do to progress further with the changes?

The address on your licence shouldn't stop you taking the test.

i think i know the issue. i have to renew (i think) my provisional. it expires by december this year. that means i have to renew, right? it says on the GOV.UK website a licence has to have 2 years left.

that will be with me in one week. are you sure i will be allowed to still take my theory test without the correct address on my provisional?

i already paid the £23, so hope i can still take it.

okay, this comes up when i click on change address page.

it only says the licence must be valid for 2 years to change photo on licence.

Your provisional lasts 10 years and you only have to update the photo every ten years, are you sure you need a new photo???

Have you done your theory before and passed, that only lasts 2 years.
