The 3rd and last viewer however; they told me they'd be looking to move in in a month and that they wanted all fixtures and fittings, including a dining table I bought when moving in.

They're going to be very disappointed then... On a number of levels!

Move in within the month, dear me some people are delusional.

Yes, I found them rather strange. The comment about the service charge also including cleaning of the actual apartment made me chuckle. It was said more than once too, so I had to tell her that the apartment was so clean and tidy because of ME, not the maintenance team.
And the council house comment too, it was like they're either very naive or just plain stupid. Their attitude was very hostile though. Was glad to shut the door on those!
  • New advert has now gone online (different agency)

This time showing all my things, including the sought after dining table :rotfl:

    GOOD NEWS:
Old landlord has agreed to take me back, got a property that's not even finished yet so will be the first one living there. Due to be completed soon so can move straight in. Not charging me any agency fees, just the deposit and the first month. Said he's be thrilled to have me back as a tenant. He is the landlord who never put my rent up in 6 years and who looked after me. Told him I'm kicking myself for leaving in the first place (studio flat that was way too small for me in the end) but after the nightmare of the last few months (previous flat to this was infested with rats) I would take small any day!
