Holiday Cancellation Advice please

I wonder if someone can advise me please.

My holiday insurance is from 19 Feb 2016 to 18 Feb 2017.

During this time we booked 2 holiday - one in April 2017 and one in September 2017 (i.e. actual holidays are being taken outside of the above policy times).

The fact that I booked the holidays while having travel insurance - can I claim for holidays outside of the holiday insurance.

My wife has become ill and we can no longer travel.

I have written to the insurance company but thought I would get advice from here as well.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Assuming you have an annual policy these cancellations will be covered (as long as the reason for cancellation is covered!, (And they are cancelled prior to the end of the policy)
