"This option starts fresh by reinstalling and updating Windows. This will keep your personal files and some Windows settings and remove most of your apps."

and lots of people will probably find they can't find their discs or licences etc. For others it may be a boon.

There are lots more 'improvements' I am sure, and if I wait long enough they will arrive and confuggle my mind.

it's just an easy few clicks rather than looking for he install disk and rebooting...

There are lots more 'improvements' I am sure, and if I wait long enough they will arrive and confuggle my mind.

The option to do that pretty much exists now. By the sound of it all they are doing is making it a bit more accessible. It is there as a way of solving problems for those that want it and is not compulsory.

If you want a simpler life, dig deeper in your piggy bank and buy a Mac.

I install the OS and the essential software that I use daily and then take a drive image using Acronis. Any failures and it takes 10 - 15 minutes to get it back to as new state.

Do more with Cortana, unlikely i dont have the MIC plugged in unless im using it. Is a voice command to shutdown the computer easier than simply pressing the power button?

Paints 2D to 3D. Can i load that 3D object into a CAD package and 3D print it?

Exactly. Basically switching on any form of computerised device is a security risk.

I'm also not sure what security risks in Edge have to do with the original topic, which is about a new way to reinstall/refresh or whatever Microsoft Windows?

Sorry, what's the worrying bit? Same as current Reset function. Worryingly MS think its a good a idea to move it under Windows Defender.
