    :hello: Good morning everyone

It's a beautiful day here too, sun is shining away, birdies
are singing and all is well! :D

zeezee - so sorry to hear about your dreadful ear infection and
the latest unsympathetic doctor you saw! It must be so terribly
painful. I too hope you find a sympathetic doctor and you
receive the correct medication for it. Nothing worse than being
in pain, especially as it's treatable!

Lol at your gorgeous cat - she sounds a lovable bundle of
mischief - just like mine. :grinheart

Thanks all re my sweetie win! :p You're so right zeezee -
it was most definitely a win-win situation, supporting a
worthy cause  and getting tasty treats myself!

It sounds as if you both had a wonderful break sheils.
Hope your DD has a brilliant time in Lanzarote. :T

What a scare re your daughter theluckofthedraw. So pleased
all is well now. Love hearing about baby GS! xxx

I started the day with a Goodreads children's book win then another to say I've won tickets for the Ideal Home exhibition. Yesterday DS says he took in a parcel but I'm not sure what it is. He says from Addis. So will find out next week.

Well busy weekend here. Off to play tomorrow- the one we were a week early for last week. GKs Mum is taking them out on Sunday so well have a bit of rest then.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

:j Very well done with your children's book win and tickets for
the Ideal Home Exhibition leanfun! Brilliant! :j :T

Maybe you've another win in the parcel! :j Have a wonderful
time this evening at the play. :D

Great you received your Granola and Decleor sample rose. :T

Have a lovely and lucky day all and take care. :)

I've had a lovely day, mostly..! I was out last night for 'a pie and peas supper' at a charity fundraising night. Food I don't normally eat, served at a time I don't normally eat, and my ageing digestive system rebelled big style. Feeling much better now and the evening itself was enjoyable enough.
    Although there was one thing...
I had hoped to video a performance but all the tables near the stage were nabbed by the performers who had arrived early. These prime view tables were then left empty during the performance whilst the performers were up on stage, and a lot of the audience had restricted views. Several performers did seat themselves so that they were tucked out of the way, but not enough.
As a result I felt quite disengaged from the performance and didn't enjoy it as much. It must have been a bit disheartening for some of the performers to have performed to empty tables in clear sight, rather than where they couldn't be seen in corners of the room. I don't often moan, but this rankled a little.

Anyway, DD and DGC were here today - I had some goodies for them, DD is working tomorrow so my Mothering Sunday presents arrived early. I have some lovely carnations to enjoy, my favourite cut flower. DD whisked round tidying up for me, as is her wont. (I'm disabled, so it's always appreciated).

I've just had a lovely shower in my west-facing bathroom warmed by the afternoon Spring sunshine. After 28 years in this house I've finally clicked that afternoon showers, when possible, are far more pleasant than chilly early morning ones!
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

    :hello: Good morning everyone

Hope you are all ok on this glorious day. We enjoyed a most
beautiful weather day yesterday and today is set to be the
same! Think it was similar for all with parts of Scotland
    gaining the highest temperatures!

    smileys-sunbathing-774118.gif

No prizes for guessing what I'll be up to today! :D

    jardinage0.gif

Received the most gorgeous flowers from my son and
daughter yesterday and apparently there's more surprises
today from both of them. Love  them both to bits. :A

Pleased that you had an enjoyable evening at the charity
fundraising event mcculloch29 - it's such a shame about the
performance though with the various problems you and
others encountered re the seating arrangements.

I have a fondness for carnations as did my mum and
have them growing in my garden. Apparently pink carnations
signify a mother's love, red is for admiration and white for
    good luck. :T

Have a wonderful and enjoyable day all and take care. :)
