Dying stamped concrete

Hi all -
I've got stamped concrete out the front of my house, but I was removing a sticker from my car and accidentally spilled acetone over it. There's now a big bleached splodge on it 😰
I'm afraid getting a pro out to fix it will just cost me a fortune; and Im tempted to just lightly sand down the area a bit to provide a key and remove all the clear lacquer that's been applied previously, and to just dab on some concrete dye. Does anyone know if that will work? Seems a shame to have to buy a small drum of it for just a few dabs but cheaper than the alternative!
Thanks

We had a garage built in 2011 and it became necessary for a very small area (about two square feet) of the imprinted concrete drive to be filled/patched. The guy who built the garage did this and matched up the imprinting but, of course, the new concrete patch needed to be coloured. My other half painted the patch with some fence paint. The fence paint used is a little lighter in colour than the existing drive but it's only a small area and in an inconspicuous place. The drive was later recoated with sealant and the patched area still looks fine nearly six years later.
Of course, I realise that the area you wish to treat is not new concrete so I don't know if the same treatment would work for you.0
