Critical illness cover

Hi I am new to this but would like some advice.
During a meeting with a morgage advisor, I was advised that i had critical illness cover attached to my endowment policy. I was unaware that I had such a policy I believed it to be a life ins. policy.
to cut a long story short I unfortunately had a heart attack 18months ago. is it too late to claim on the policy.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would read the policy documentation as that will tell you what to you if you need to claim and if there are any time limits.0

An endowment is a life assurance policy. However, it had some addons possible and one of those is CIC.to cut a long story short I unfortunately had a heart attack 18months ago. is it too late to claim on the policy.
not normally. Put your claim in now whilst records still exist. Time is an issue as records get lost and archived. So the sooner the better.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks for the reply. I Have never had any policy documents for the cover ( hence I didn't know I had CIC). the only reference I can find is an old Scottish Amicable document on line. I have asked the Prudential for a claims form. Treatment is ongoing for my heart attack so I'm hoping the files have not been archived.0
