HB Calculator Problem

I have recently had my rent increased and submitted this change to HB. I used the councils own calculator as well as the entitled to calculator and have a massive problem.
When I input figures based on earnings broken down per year or per 4 weekly, I get one amount showing for what we are entitled to. But if I input the figures as weekly, I get a completely different figure, £50 less!!!!
I have even double checked all the figures, the tax and NI amounts that get generated and still it shows two completely different amounts.
I'm lost and am now been told I am receiving £50 less than anticipated!!

Four weekly would be 13 pay periods a year..is that the problem ?0

What I'm saying is, on the form you complete you can input the figures as weekly, 4 weekly, monthly or annually. So I input an annual income, check the tax amounts and continue the form and I get one answer. I amend the form to represent 4 weekly figures, and get the same outcome. I input income as weekly and get a completely different answer?!?DMP Started June 20160

The weekly amount is merely the annual income divided by 52. The 4 weekly is the weekly x4. So why is it producing varying answers?!DMP Started June 20160

Are you using details from a monthly or a weekly payslip?
If monthly then the following calculation applies to calculate a weekly equivalent.
Monthly amount multiplied by 12 divided by 52. (52.14 to be precise).
Is there anyone who can double check the info you are inputting into the calculators?Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
I am using the values from the salary calculator website which breaks down your income into annual, monthly, 4 weekly and then weekly.
When I use the entitledto website I ensure I set the pay frequency drop down to the relevant one, input the relevant figures and then calculate.
I have double, triple checked them over and over that's why it doesn't make sense!DMP Started June 20160 -
Are you being asked for gross or net figures? What are the actual figures you are entering?0

What are you inputting as your annual gross salary, tax, & NI.
What are you inputting as the weekly equivalents?Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
Are you being restricted under LHA rules?0

Not quite. The weekly figure would be calculated by dividing the yearly figure by 365 and x 7. There are not 52 weeks in a year. There are 52 weeks and 1 day. These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0
