Hi, I'm a dinosaur to all this online switching thingy. Whenever I've searched in the past I've usually found a supplier I've heard of .Today I can't say I've heard of any in the top 10 of my search results.
Can these "new" companies be "relied/trusted"?

If any supplier goes bust, then your supply is protected. Following the collapse of GEEnergy, Ofgem has also established a precedent whereby your credit balance is protected and you will be transferred to the nominated new supplier on your existing tariff terms. All energy customers will cover the cost of a default.

I follow the savings. I was with GBEnergy and I have got my £78 credit back.

If you're concerned about switching to a smaller supplier, we've now added a 'big name provider' filter on your results page. This will reduce down your results to more established providers (though not just the big 6).
