We have installed hundreds if not 1000s of of cctv systems for both public and private clients ... I personally don't install them but I'll take the legal teams advice over yours:rotfl:0 -

Ah, I should have known, you flog CCTV for a living...its all clear now. Not only an armchair expert, but one with an agenda.
I can imagine the sales pitch..."yeah yeah mate, s'all legal innit, don't worry about that ICO guidance they don't have a clue, my "lawyers" said its all legit, just sign here cheers mate".
I wasn't going to bother adding you to my ignore list but seeing as you have nothing useful to contribute...0 -

Thanks , I don't actually read it that way, if it is not illegal I am not doing anything wrong,TheCyclingProgrammer wrote: »Well you've read the same thing as me. To me it seems clear you should register as a data controller using the link provided, but your call.
Registered installers should know what they are telling me so any come back I will be back in touch with them,
I appreciate your advice though , thanks0 -
I have CCTV two IP cameras on front of house to monitor car
I think that's a really good idea, and it would be OTT for pedestrians or anyone else to complain, just because you're filming a bit beyond the boundary of your property. I see, however, that you're supposed to cough up £35 per year to register - a pointless rip-off in my opinion.0
