Denied a DIP for a mortgage from Skipton last month. Checked noddle (callcredit) and it's not showing payment history for credit cards since November 2016? One card is paid off in full, we done that at start of January and there's 2 late payments which are 6 months old. (My husband worked on wind farms as a contractor and his old employer decided not to provide him with work when he handed in his notice and he didn't get paid, he was given no prior warning, we went to a lawyer, his employer said he had no work he could provide that would only last a month and didn't want to let his client down, nothing we could do, everything that was in the account got swamped up and sadly those two payments came back returned, they were paid before a full month was missed however). If the card information is updated in the next month does anyone think it may improve our chances of a DIP? Skipton seem really strict d

We got quite misleading information from our last broker and had to retract the offer on a property.
spoke to skiptons directly this morning and they said if the credit report is showing correct information it should pull through... now we have to wait on it being updated.
They also said we can refer it if we think the decision is wrong.
Credit files seem to have so much room for error. It seems they put wrong information on quite easily but it is a fight and 3 months to have it removed or amended.0 -

Exactly right. Consider this: how often have you had a monetary transaction involving your bank go wrong? I mean something like you send £100 to someone and only £99 turns up. Almost never. Validation systems are in place to stop such things happening. How then, do errors routinely get posted to CRA files? I mean something like a record that has a DoB different from yours getting posted against you - something that happens all the time.0 -
Are the cards that have not updated still open accounts or are they closed? If they are closed it appears to be quite common for them to take 3 months to update.0
