3rd party statement related to car accident
I was recently involved in a car accident I won't go into all the details here but consider that the 3rd party was at fault and communicated to my insurers that I wish to pursue my repair costs from the 3rd party insurer. My insurers emailed me back today saying that they had spoken to their counterparts on the phone and that they taking the stance that I was to blame and my insurers have therefore asked to put their allegations in writing to them.
I haven't had to deal with a car accident and claiming on insurance before, do I get to see what these allegations in writing are from the 3rd party? I haven't submitted an accident claim form myself yet regards the circumstances of the accident do I need to wait now to find out what the 3rd party is alleging before I do this? There were no other independent witnesses so it seems now it will be my word against theirs.
Thanks in advance for any advice

Just submit your version of events to your insurer and let them do the rest. Why should you have the chance to respond to the third party's account before they have a chance to respond to yours? This way, it is all fair and above board.
As you say, without independent witnesses, it will be word against word so unless your or the third party's account reveals a detail that clearly puts one of you at fault, it will settled 50:50.0 -

Thanks for the information, am still though unclear as to at which point I get to see their account of the accident so I am able to dispute it?0 -
