Mercedes Benz Financial Services - End of lease charges

The title of this thread started in 2010 and attracted 4 pages before it was removed probably at the request of MBFS.
However has anybody since then had any success with reducing their obscene charges ?
I am at the end of procedure now having been to the Financial Ombudsman , who was a complete waste of time , and MBFS are looking for the money they say I owe them.
They want £480 for a replacement windscreen that was repaired by Autoglass 3 months earlier and carried a lifetime guarantee. Autoglass offered to replace it FOC but MBFS refused them access to the vehicle and gave me the bill !
Surely someone has had a result with them if so let me know !! :mad:

No advice to offer but I will say that MB reputation for excessive charges has always put me off their products.You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0

An independent adjudicator has assessed the case already and given an answer.
