Over 20 years I've got my Documents saved under both Microsoft Office and Libre Office.
I want them all to open with Libre Office but when I click on a document saved under Microsoft Office I then have to click on 'Open with' and select 'Libre Office'.
Is there a way I can transfer all my documents to Libre Office???
And then delete the Microsoft Office programme.

At the bottom of the "Open with..." menu, there should be the option "Choose default program...". If you click this, the "Open with" dialogue box appears. Make sure the box marked "Always use selected program to open this kind of file" is ticked, then select the LibreOffice app and click OK.
N.B. On the "Open with" dialogue box, there is a little down arrow on the line to the right of "Other Programs". If you click this, you should see a list of all the installed programs on your PC. You can also use the "Browse..." button to manually locate the relevant LibreOffice executable.0 -
Estupendo.

Your documents are held in their own folder - seperate to Office - so you can just uninstall Office and then when you try to open a doc next time - select libre as the default program0

Presumably you have checked carefully that Libra Office (or some other Open Office variant) is actually compatible enough for your needs?
Excellent as it is in many ways, certainly absolutely fine for doing your own thing, there can be quite a few compatibility issues particularly around templates and some of the more advanced features.0
