Listening to a song on iPad.

Hi does anyone know how I can listen to a song on my iPad that I have received in an email please.

Have you received the song as an attachment , or as a link to a place on the internet ?


Also, do you know what format the song is in ?
You may be able to tell by the file extention (.wav or .mp3 etc )

Hi Andy they are attachments and I've downloaded them but don't know how to listen to them .

You'll need 3rd party app to listen to WMA on an idevice ..


I suggest VLC (search for it in the app store)

Oh the joys of Apple, I had same issue with an MP3.

"No you can't just email someone an MP3 and expect to actually be able to listen to it. no you must install in into an itunes server blah blah blah.

That is why I am not a huge Apple fan, they can't do the most basic things that people want to do or Apple disable it (like they did VoIP on the Ipod).
