Thank you to everyone. Do we have an idea of the percentage of these unpaid "fines" that companies like CPP actually pursue through to court?0

you can always find those figures about any parking firms, by Googling the words:
BMPA Insight
and the name or acronym of the parking company in question.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That great thanks.
So 165866 tickets issues by CP Plus last year, and no court hearings for 2016 or so far in 2017. I suppose it's anyone's guess as to how many of those tickets issues we completely ignored. I imagine it was more than just mine however. Hopefully I'm not the person they try to make an example of. I imagine there are people who accumulate "fines" that would be much more worth their time and money.0 -
Quick update. I emailed CP Plus general enquiries notifying them of a change of address from my old one to my new one, and that was all. I got this email back, from their appeals department:
Good morning
Thank you for your email regarding a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) issued to your vehicle.
Your email did not include the PCN reference or your vehicle registration; therefore we are unable to locate your details.
Please email appeals@cp-plus.co.uk with the required information within 14 days, attaching any documentation relevant to your appeal.
Regards,
I'm not sure how they can conclude that they have issued me a PCN, or that it is active and that I wish to appeal, without accessing my account. I feel like they are trying to trick me into appealing, or somehow admitting fault.
If any of you have any suggestions as how to reply, that would be very much appreciated.
I also have had no joy from the services, who I have tried to contact on several occasions, get told I will get a call back...and never do.0
