I have got a Huawei E589 Mifi that connects to two mobile phones and a Win10 tablet.
All three connect to the Mifi but the two android phones have no internet connection until I sign into the Mifi using 192.168.1.1 on my tablet. If I don't want to use the tablet and try to sign into 192.168.1.1 using any one of the android phones I still cannot get internet access.
Because I can eventually connect the phones to the internet it seems the Mifi settings are the problem but I cannot work out how to change them.

When you say "sign into 192.168.1.1", do you mean you are actually pointing your browser to there, or are automatiacally redirected ?
And how does this sign in present ?
Do you mean it is a splash page where you have to enter password etc ?
What happens on the phones if you try to go to 192.168.1.1 - what error does it say ?0 -
Thanks for your reply.
Yes I am actually pointing my browser on the Win10 tablet to 192.168.1.1 If I do not point it there I can see in Wifi settings that I am connected to the Mifi because it says 'Connected no internet' I get the same phrase on both my android phones.
So as soon as I go to 192.168.1.1 on the tablet it asks me to sign in with user name and password and I am then connected to the internet and my phones are also connected!
If I do the above on either of the android phones it allows me to sign in,does not show any error message but also does not connect to the internet.0 -
Hmm ..
Ok, so after you have entered your credentials on the splash page on one of the phones, what does the browser do then ?
Stay on that page , or forward you to another page ?
Please bear with me, im trying to wrap my brain around what might be happening here0 -
When I sign in on the phone it just gives me the options Home,Stats,SMS,Updates and Settings but I am not connected to the internet.
Although I am using a 3 data sim for roaming I am beginning to think it might be 3 trying to restrict me to only using one device. I had a problem last year when I was using an ordinary sim for data but read they do not restrict roaming on data sims so bought a prepaid data sim.I registered this sim using the tablet!0
