Is this a scam and should I worry?

If you're worried, you could always find the companies on Twitter and mention it to them. They may pass this on to any internal fraud department for further investigation but it shouldn't affect you.0

Was it addressed to you personally or The Occupier or another name at this address? Is the address correct down the very letter? If it says to The Occupier, then it's just advertising. If to another person but your address, just stick it back out for the postie with a note saying "not at this address". If the letter has your name AND correct address I might be worried but not sure what to do. Surely someone else will be along soon to help. Posted by Thriftylass
Not always - the guarantee for our new boiler was addressed to 'the occupier' as it relates to the boiler, not the buyer. Best to check before putting it into the re-cycling bin!0 -
Thanks everyone - no need to worry about it then.0
