HSBC advance current account - heads up

Great..! We can now switch our current accounts to HSBC and get a free gift of £200 and a linked saver account for a year giving 5%.
No complaints about any of that, but the current account switch, which has to be done via telephone took me a full 40 minutes yesterday, plus waiting time of about 5-10 minutes, and that was with no hitches. Internet registration took another hour of going round in circles and the website, when you finally get there, is clunky at best, difficult to navigate, and gives a regular white out and refresh of the page you're looking at which is annoying to the point of inducing an epileptic fit.
HSBC could do better than this.

What device are you using to access the website? Personally, I have no problems accessing and using the website - in and out within minutes
.
That aside, what do you want for approximately £100 per hour to switch? . Most switches take time on the telephone, that's the way it isSaved Nitty Gritty £7440.75 [149%] / £5000-[Sep] £58.44:starmod: for the 'Save 12k in 2017' #157

I disagree with this, I have done every switch available in the past 3 years and only the HSBC group have included a telephone call (my experience). I had a 10 minute grilling from M&S about where my income comes from.It may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type0 -

I seem to recall I had to ring Co-op Bank to do it too, but that might be because I wasn't ready to switch immediately when I applied for the account.0 -

* Different timescales were also set for the switch request, depending on how you applied I believe?...at least for one of them.0 -
Only just done Co-Op this time around, quite ridiculous really. Applied on 31st of January got an acceptance email next day and then on the 7th of Feb a letter saying my switch would start on the 15th and take 7 days. No phone calls though. It may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type0
