I paid but for the wrong vehicle

Hello everyone,
I have received a rejection of representation and want to know if I stand a chance of winning an appeal to the independent adjudicator. I paid for parking but accidentally using the registration of a previous vehicle (previously registered on the automated paying system). As I paid for 'a vehicle' to be parked and can prove that I don't own both cars, will this be considered mitigating circumstances? The ticket was issued in London (Hounslow).
Thank you,
Rob

A judge may well consider the circumstance to be a reason why you should not pay, the PPC and the adjudicator are unlikely to

Concentrate of the tried and tested winners in the newbies thread at the top of the index page, contract and standing, time frame, compliance, wording of the sign, location, height, etc., planning and advertising permissions etc.

as private companies can not issue fines, do you mean was this a council ticket issued by the local council, or a private parking charge issued by a private company?
    From the Plain Language Commission:

"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"
  • The fine was issued by a company (can't remember name) on behalf of Hounslow Borough Council. I used the RingGo payment system.

OK sounds like a penalty charge notice with Hounslow logo (Serco being their contractor)? If it was a Hounslow PCN they always used to have a flaw in the PCN wording that can be mentioned to the adjudicator.

Ask pepipoo about Hounslow PCN wording flaws and show them both sides of your PCN:

Cases have been won on such technicalities and if Hounslow still have that error, you MUST tell the adjudicator in your final appeal (third stage, in windscreen PCN cases). Doesn't sound like you've done the 'second stage' appeal yet though (NTO stage first).

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
