    As others are saying, just use something in place of the cup... although if you intend to use a lot of US recipes then it's worth getting some cup measures... Amazon does sell some US size ones.

    That Dove's conversion table that Mojisola linked to is brilliant and also perfectly illustrates why conversion from cups is never straightforward as all ingredients have their own individual weight-to-volume.

    For instance, a cup of flour, a cup of raisins and a cup of sugar will all have different weights so there just isn't any easy formula to just say 'one cup equals xxx weight'.

    BTW - that recipe looks :eek::eek::eek: for calorific content but :D:D:D for decadence - what's it called?
