Cancelling tenancy early

Hi
Was just wondering if anyone knew whether there would be any implications if I were to cancel my tenancy early? I don't really know if there would be but wondered if it might be mentioned in a reference or something like that.
Chances are there will probably be an admin fee!!
Thanks

Well firstly does your tenancy agreement mention anything?
I mean you cant just 'cancel', you owe the full rent until the end of the agreement.
It could be mentioned in a reference ofcourse too0 -
Thanks for the reply.
There is a break clause in the agreement so two months notice can be given.
Didn't realise about still owing the full amount of rent tho, not heard that before but would have to check my agreement as I guess this depends on the estate agents/landlord?0 -
If there's a valid real clause then that can be used to end the tenancy.0

If the tenancy is ended properly, then there are no implications.
If it is not, then you continue to owe rent, gas/electric /CT etc costs etc and can be sued.
* england?
* date tenancy started?
* term/end date?
* or is it periodic (eg monthly)?
* is there a Break Clause? If so, what EXACTLY does it say?
