Refund on Original Delivery Charge for Damaged Goods

Hi

I recently purchased some flat pack furniture from The Range for around £350.00. The standard delivery charge for this was £20. All of the items arrived damaged due to unsuitable packaging. I contacted The Range who offered me a refund and arranged collection.

The Range have now received the damaged goods and have processed a refund for £350.00. I was wondering if they should also reimburse me for the £20.00 delivery charge I originally had to pay?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If the delivery charge was per order and you returned the entire order, then yes they should also refund the delivery charge.

I have emailed them explaining this and will wait to see what they say. I'm not confident though.

That defines what your rights are. Section 20 item (10) states:

(10)To the extent that the consumer paid money under the contract, the consumer is entitled to receive back the same amount of money.

(My bold). Your contract was for goods and delivery of said goods.
