To move or not to move?

My dual fuel gas and electricity is with NPower. I can get a cheaper tariff on the Online Price Fix March 2018 however, in the coming couple of months I'm going to be renting my property out to move in with my partner. Obviously if I wasn't moving I'd look at other supplier prices however, I don't want to have to pay an exit fee in a few months time.

My understanding is that I'm best to stay with NPower and just amend the tariff to the best one to suit me (saving ££) but if anyone can help further please feel free :).

Many thanks!

You don't pay exit fees when you vacate a property.

If you are renting out your property, your tenants will be free to move utilities to whomever they like.

It's a pity, but though the incoming tenants will have to sign up with N'power, they will be treated as "New Account" and automatically put on the Standard Variable tariff which is the most expensive, but energy prices have risen and even if they opt for another Fixed tariff, it will probably be more expensive than your present one

Best thing you can do for your tenants is to give them the Gas/Elec consumption figures for your time in the dwelling so they can explore the market for the best deal
