concert cancelled - Brooklyn Bowl London

Options
I booked tickets for a Bob Marley event in the Brooklyn Bowl at the O2 in London for 4 Feb. I booked train tickets and accommodation for the night and off I went on my adventure....only to find that the event was cancelled!! ....as the venue had shut at NO NOTICE. I have been refunded the ticket cost by the ticket provider but am unable to find contact details for Brooklyn Bowl to pursue recompense for the train and hotel cost I incurred. The O2 have advised that they are not at all responsible for any venues within their complex. Has anyone had this problem that could share contact details for Brooklyn Bowl or any one else I can contact regarding this situation

Fingers crossed J

There was a notice on their website to say the venue had to be closed & the show on the 3rd had been moved to a new location & that the show on the 4th was cancelled.

You have used your train ticket & one would assume stayed in the hotel so Im not sure you will get compensation...

  • Thank for your reply but it is not at all helpful, why would I check their website? I had already arrived in London and checked in to my hotel when I, by chance, came across the notice of closure. My point is that I would never have made the journey if I wasn't going to the event. I am looking for contact details for the Brooklyn Bowl to make further enquiries with them.

helpful or not, it is correct.

the organizers are not liable for any travel or accommodation costs of a canceled concert.

"If the event is cancelled or changed, the event organisers do not have to give you a refund for any travel or accommodation costs you have, unless you bought the tickets as part of a holiday travel package."

Have you seen the address and phone number at the very top of Brooklyn Bowl London's webpage?

There are also a few email addresses dotted around their website.

Who did you book the ticket with-an agent, or direct with the venue?
The key here is surely when the concert was cancelled, and it would be normal to check before commencing your journey?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
