POPLA appeal declined: what next

Hi, just before Christmas I got a parking ticket on a car park I use regularly. I normally pay by card, but that day neither of the machines that accept card payment were working. I didn't want to miss my train so tried using the payment by text message they advertise but never received the expected reply with instructions (I've done it before in other car parks and it works well).
Unfortunately I didn't think of looking here before appealing to the car park operator (UKPC). I sent as evidence a screenshot of my phone showing I sent a text message which was not replied to. This was refused so I appealed to POPLA.
Today I received a letter saying that POPLA had declined my appeal and I must pay £100 otherwise they will pass the debt onto recovery agents.
Should I pay or ignore? I've seen advice on here that I should ignore the letter but it's a bit scary...
Thanks in advance for any help!

Did you get a letter from POPLA saying that the appeal was declined0 -
At least wait till you hear from popla
Recovery agents should be totally ignored.
But don't ignore any court correspondence0 -
The PoPLA decision is not binding on the motorist, so there is no requirement for you to pay anything unless a judge tells you to.
You can safely ignore debt collectors. This is explained in the NEWBIES thread.
Other than that, you just wait to see if the notorious scammers who were caught doctoring time stamp on photo' evidence try court in the next six years.
If that happens, come back here for more help.
I take it the car park was not actually at the station, otherwise byelaws may apply which is to your advantage.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Thanks guys.
No I haven't got a letter from POPLA, it's from UKPC.
The car park is a private one, opposite the station, I don't know if that means it's at the station?0 -

No you are missing the point, if the car park is on railway property it may be covered by byelaws which UKPC cannot take you to court over, only the railway operator, and this has to be done within six months of the offence.0 -

You need to contact POPLA as you have not received notification from them.
Do not take the word of UKPC, known scammers and fakers of pictures
CONTACT POPLA0 -
you should be checking with POPLA what their decision was as you should have received notification of a pass or a fail
you only have to pay if a judge says so, not popla , not ukpc either
UKPC have 6 years to try a court case (MCOL)
its not our job to tell you what to do, its out job to present the facts so YOU can decide if you are going to grow a set and fightback, or cave in and pay sc@mmers so they can prey on other people0 -
Then you are it wait mode until POPLA replies officially, then ignore mode to see if UKPC Muppets go any further.
You will get loads of ignorable scrap paper from Debt Recovery Plus, and maybe their other pretend company Zenith which can be ignored, but don't ignore real court papers.
Of course you can pay UKPC and let them laugh as they book their flights to their private villas you are helping to support but no one here would encourage that.0 -
what were your POPLA appeal points?
If you only did it on mitigating circs as in your first post, then expect the appeal to have been declined as they don't consider mitigation, only points of law.0
