Hi all,
I have a Bosch AKE 35 S electric chainsaw. The chain needs replacing and Ive been looking at places online to buy. It seems theres quite a difference in price - the cheapest Ive found are https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rotatech-Chainsaw-Chain-BOSCH-AKE35S/dp/B01C7FTSGW/ref=pd_lpo_60_tr_t_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=AFEJSXMHSNM78RAGCJF5 which are just £13.93 for 2!
Has anyone had any experience of buying chains online? Is it a false economy to buy cheap chains, or are you paying more just for the 'brand'?
Thanks

Take a look at Screwfix if you have one near you, I've not bought a chain off them but I did buy my chainsaw from them and they were pretty knowledgable. I have an Oregan chain which cuts well. Their prices are always very reasonable.

Lidl and/or Aldi sometime have them.

I've had no bad experiences with cheap chains0

Looks like a full chisel chain unless your exclusively cutting clean green wood and are very proficient at sharpening the chain including reducing the rakers I would recommend you find a semi chisel chain.0

I buy my Oregon chains on-line from this catchily named firm:

Not had any problems.0
