Hi,
The MSE email this morning mentioned the Tesco savings accounts at 3% which do not need to use the switch server, so you can open up to 2 accounts and save at 3%.
My question is if you open two of these accounts as the email suggests is possible, how does it affect your credit report/score?
Does it have a negative impact?
I may need to get a Virgin Money transfer card later this year, i have a good report and score at the moment, so wanted to check before opening a Tesco savings account
Thanks
Robert

Hi
Everyone's circumstances are different. However, I opened a load of currect accounts over a short period of time last year, and there was very little impact on my credit score.

Just don't open a HSBC Advance account etc... They did a hard search which nerfs your credit score... I opened bank accounts with Santander, lloyds, bank of scotland, tesco bank etc and all those were fine and had no impact on credit score!0

Don't forget tesco will do 2 hard searches on experian and call credit if you open both accounts but of course if you only open one then that's it.

No 1 will see the score/rating for love or money.
Everyone else can see your report.0
