Parking Eye caught out
Comments

OK, so I have gone through a POPLA appeal and they found in Parking Eye's favour. They did this because I failed to provide proof I paid. I could have shown them the valid parking ticket I have, but I didn't tell them I had it. I just said I paid the correct amount and the burden of proof was on Parking Eye to prove I didn't pay. Parking Eye has photos of my car entering and leaving and I don't dispute any aspect of it, but their system says I didn't pay. But I have a valid ticket that matches perfectly, and a parking ticket for 14 other occasions I used the car park while my wife was in hospital for 9 days. I want to cause Parking Eye some grief making people believe they are always 100% right. Their ANPR systems are not 100% fool proof and people are bullied into paying unfairly.
I have advised POPLA that I can prove they have made the wrong judgement. I await their response.0 -
there was another thread on here today where somebody said to ask POPLA for details of who will represent them if a court case is brought against the appellant (in this case you) - ie:- would it be the named assessor or John Gallagher)
might be worth doing the same , putting them on the spot0
