I am interested to buy a MacBook air 8gb 256 ssd at £892 with 3 yrs guarantee at Edustore inc discount for students & staff. The same item from apple education store will cost £1103.19 including 3 yrs apple care. With Edustore it is return to base on the 2nd and third yr. Apple care seems very good and I wonder whether I should buy from Edustore and buy 3 yrs apple care from apple. It will work cheaper doing it this way than buying directly from apple. I am also asking whether I do need apple care they are usually trouble free unless being unlucky and that could be very expensive. The magsafe adapter is very flimsy and it cost quite a bit to replace and replacement is included in apple care. I just need some advice pl,what would do in my place? Thanks

Usually trouble free? Are you sure about that?
I can only wonder why there are so many youtubers who make decent money from Apple laptop repairs.
Not just a case of being unlucky, a lot of design issues from various models.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Apple has an Education Store, and a Further Education store. If you're eligible, you get a bigger discount in the Further Education store. Used to only be accessible from Uni campuses but might have been opened up now. Usually 14% ish off.
If you've experience of breaking laptops, or for peace of mind, especially if you've an Apple Store handy, Apple Care MIGHT be worth it.0
