Raking Eye + Equita FINAL NOTICE letter

Hi,

Just recently I've received a letter from Equita with final notice to pay 160gbp PCN to Parking Eye. Its almost a year since i got PCN due to parking by Stratford Morrisons. The car is on company's name and they don't know who was driving the car because after reading some feedbacks about this scam in forums i kept ignoring letters that were sent. I don't want to affect company's credit history in case this would go to the court and at the same time not willing to pay Parking Eye unreasonable charge. What should i do?? any advice is much appreciated.

Thank you!

  • why are YOU getting letters from equita , are they not addressed to the company that own the car?

is your home address the same as the company address , or address on the V5

edit: do you live in scotland or is the company base or the V5 listed as scotland

Since the original PCN/NTK was ignored, I think that is all you can continue to do.

The fact it has gone to Equita (part of the same company as parking lie) is usually a good thing because it means they know there is a problem and don't want to put it in front of a judge, so just keep sending begging letters in the hope someone will crumble and pay up.

Normally parking lie issue court papers like confetti in very short order, so again that makes me think they know they have a problem.

  • A limited company / registered keeper can end up going to the Small Claims Court to defend a Parking Charge claim.

Equita's involvement may be down to there being a clause in PE's contract with Morrisons that prevents them from suing Morrisons' customers?

It's not too late to contact Morrisons to request that they instruct PE to cancel this charge.

Read other Morrisons threads and use the fabulous 'Donotreply' email as covered all over the forum. Complaints work.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
