Not working if you are applying on-line for a current account. Phoned Co-op , who advised there was a problem with people logging onto online banking as well.0

Working ok this afternoon so transferred my Halifax Rewards current account to coop current account. Should get a £110 bonus and £4 per month from coop. Much better than the £3 per month that I got with Halifax,
Have to find my next bank target. Could be HSBC.0 -

You could also open a new Halifax (switch to them if you haven't had a switching bonus before) even though you have switched your old one away and get £7 per month, £4 from Co-op and £3 from HalifaxIt may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type0 -

No, but there is no guarantee that Halifax, or any other bank, will let you open a current account. Nothing to lose by trying though.0 -

Thanks. You are right. I phoned Halifax and they advised that I was entitled to open another Rewards account.
I will wait for my Co-op account to be opened and for my Reward account to be closed before I apply for another Reward account. For info, I have already opened a new current account with N/wide. I will create 2 direct debits over the next few weeks before I transfer it to my new Rewards account. Halifax should also give me a switching bonus as I have not had one before.
I can see a game starting to happen here.0 -

Have you opened a Nationwide FlexDirect? if so, have you no use for 5% interest on £2500 and a 5% Regular Saver?
Think a little more creatively about switching accounts;)0
