I had to do one of those identity interviews. It was horrible, I felt like I was lying all the way through it.

So no, I doubt that there's any rhyme or reason behind it whatsoever.
They wouldn't have been checked because you were going for an identity interview0 -
I've signed loads over the years and never had anyone contact me to check anything - I'm feeling a little left out !0
