I need advise on debt 6+years old

Needing some advise Iv got debt from over 6+ years I was paying them all through a debt management plan but I cancelled it as was going to take another 3years 8month to pay it off with the debt management charging me £40 for there services. Since it's been 6+ years can they still chase me for the debt??

Yes they can, unless there has been a period of six years or more since you last made a payment.

Theres debt charities who are free, speak to 1 of them, stepchange is one.0

They said they couldn't help as my debt is under 3000 (literally) £2960 .....0

No money in that for them.
They're only free to the user - they rely on a rake-back from the creditors to fund themselvesand they're not going to get much back on your debt.
Self-managed is probably the way forward.0 -

National Debt Line don't appear to have that criteria?Can I have a DMP through NDL or BDL?
Anyone who answers yes to these two questions.
Can you afford to pay at least £5 to each of your debts every month?
Can you repay your debts within 10 years?
Yes they receive funding from banks and other creditors - but they operate as an independent charity - and anyone who has been involved in the running or set up of a charity will know it's a hot potato if they are found to diverting from their mission statement whilst acting on interests of potential funders...
I can't find anything on Stepchange about debts over/under £3k...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
