Of course. Electric cars need resources and energy to be built. Don't petrol and diesel cars?It's not just the fuel though. It's the overall environmental impact.
Lithium is a precious resource and needs mined, yes. What about the precious resources needed for petrol/diesel cars? Platinum for catalytic converters for example? Take it on a one for one basis, not one versus nothing.
What is the environmental impact of using electricity from a solar panel on your roof?Electricity, whether from traditional or renewable sources, causes an environmental impact.
Of course. Some people buy new cars, some don't. Driving round in an old car might just have less environmental impact than building a new one. But everyone can't be like you, otherwise no new cars would be built and we would run out. People buy new cars. Should they buy petrol, diesel or electric?Buying a new, greener, petrol or electric car would cost me money!0 -
