Approaching 25 day appeal time

P4 parking ticket .........

I'm approaching the 25-26 days recommended time before making an appeal.
I've just re read the instructions an note that it suggests that an appeal to landowner is made.

I wasn't sure if this applied to me as it was not a car park so no receipts / proof of patronage but a private road on a housing complex. I parked for 5-6 minutes with my wheels on the kerb and the ticket was issued for this reason.

Shall I still appeal to landowner or just proceed with online appeal at this stage ?

Thanks

I would just do the appeal. Is this your own housing complex or were you dropping something/someone off to a resident? If so, check what their lease or AST says about the rights of way to pass and re-pass, which certainly allows for short stops to deliver/drop off.

The road is adjacent to a park , I was collecting my son as he'd called to say he'd hurt himself. Was anxious to get to him so just mounted the kerb and ran in in to find him. Was 5-6 mins as my son was sat on a bench near park entrance waiting. Had no idea it was possible to issue a ticket this quickly !!!!

Well private firms will issue fake PCNs under any old excuse. Do not appeal telling the story of what happened - the NEWBIES FAQs thread has the first appeal from the keeper (not driver).
