Need to be able to create hyperlink or PDF please

Options
I need to be able to create hyperlink or PDF and have windows 10 and have Libre Office.

When I highlite the article then go to file i can see export as PDF but then follows umpteen options to check but don't understand them, consequently am getting no-where. Sure there must be a way easier such as copying an url to use in forums.

I know this a second type of post made, but think I have explained it better here.

A hyperlink is simply a link to something else ... e.g. the link you click on to access this thread is a hyperlink.

Please explain exactly what it is you're trying to achieve.

About 4yrs ago, I wrote an article ref bowel screening and it was published in several magazines. Somehow through changing laptops, I lost the link. Eventually I found it within a cancer forum and copied/pasted it and have it in Liberoffice. Ideally I would like something like a hyperlink or PDF so that when I choose, I can send the link to either individuals or insert within a post on say FB.

Currently when I try, the complete 4 page article is presented. I am more than happy to send it to you in it's entirety if you could return as pdf of hyperlink.

I'm still not sure what you want ... a copy of the LINK to the article, or a copy of the article itself (in PDF form)?

So you have a file on YOUR computer, and you want to link to that in a forum post ??

Im afraid that is not possible (In any realistic sense)

You will either have to upload it to somewhere and paste THAT link, or find the place on the internet where you rediscovered your document and post THAT link ..

    Does that make sense ?

edit : you're probly looking for something like this :-
    https://www.scribd.com/upload-document

(Upload your document, and it will provide you with a link that you can use)

So what you want is two things:

    1. Save the article as a PDF document
    2. Make it so that this PDF can be linked in future posts on the internet

For 1. you should just be able to Save As a PDF file from LibreOffice. But where is this article currently? Have you done a copy from the existing article (online) and pasted it in LibreOffice? If yes then saving as a document (not PDF) first might be a good idea. THEN save as PDF (or print to PDF).

For 2. you need to upload the file to a hosting site and then use that link. The site Andy mentions offers one such option.
